I live in the Grand Rapids area with my three teenagers and two dogs, and I’ve been coaching since 2014. With 12,000+ sessions coached, I’ve worked with busy moms, former athletes, professionals, and everyday adults who are done wasting time on fitness that doesn’t move the needle.

Most people come to me because they want to “tone up,” lose weight, or get stronger.

What they usually leave with is so much bigger:


more confidence,
better boundaries,
more trust in themselves,


and a body that feels like an ally instead of a problem.

That’s the work I care about.

HOW I GOT HERE

I didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming a trainer.

I just knew I wanted to feel strong.

Like a lot of people, my relationship with food, exercise, and my body was complicated. I spent years chasing smaller, trying diets, overthinking workouts, and believing my body was the problem.

It wasn’t.

The real shift happened when I stopped training to shrink and started training to build.

Strength changed everything.


Not just my body, but my confidence, my resilience, and the way I showed up in my life.

During one of the hardest seasons of my life, I became certified, started coaching from my basement, and built this business from the ground up.

That season taught me something I now teach every client: real strength is never just physical.

WHY UNCHAINED?

If you know me, you know nothing in my world stays surface level.

Unchained is about so much more than strength training.

It’s your mind.
Your emotions.
Stuck energy.
Old habits.

The stories and patterns that have kept you small, safe, or spinning your wheels.

When I think about the meaning behind the name, I always come back to the elephant—my favorite animal, and one of the strongest creatures on earth.

An elephant in captivity can be held in place by a chain or rope it learned long ago not to fight. Even when it grows powerful enough to break free, it often doesn’t… because the limitation lives in the mind first.

And I think: what chains are still holding us back?

For so many people, those chains look like:
diet culture,
self-doubt,
all-or-nothing thinking,
fear of failure,
the belief that they need to be smaller, quieter, or more “disciplined” to be enough.

That’s what I help people break.

It starts with the body, but it never ends there.

Because real strength changes the way you move through your life.
How you trust yourself.
How you speak up.
How you stop abandoning yourself every Monday and finally build something that lasts.

And this is where the elephant story gets even deeper for me.

I think of myself as the matriarch elephant.
The big-sis energy in the herd.

The one who knows when to gently nudge you forward.
When to challenge you.
When to protect you while you’re vulnerable.
When to call the herd in close.
And when it’s time to celebrate your strength like the whole damn circle felt it.

That’s what Unchained means to me.

Not just breaking free from what held you back—but doing it inside a circle that reminds you what you’re capable of.

Because elephants move in formation:
powerful,
protective,
deeply intuitive,
and never disconnected from the herd.

That’s the kind of strength I want people to feel here.

Strength in your body.
Strength in your mind.
Strength in your habits.
Strength in your identity.
Strength in community.

The parts of you that were never meant to stay small were always there.


Sometimes they just need the right environment to remember.
